tvshack.net has malware do not go there it is horrible.

So the other day I wanted to checkout some TV shows on www.tvshack.net and Chrome picked up that the site had malware on it. I clicked through (big mistake) because I had been on this site thousands of times before. Do not make the same mistake that I did.

It installs a virus under the ruse of an antivirus program called "Antivirus Live." Basically it totally screws your ability to do anything including running exe files. When you try to do anything it says that the file is corrupt. This is not true. This malicious virus highjacks your computer then makes you pay to fix it. Talk about annoying the worst part about this is I can picture some less than computer literate people falling for it. I would imagine these jerks have made a fortune off people that don't have the ability to do a format re-install of there OS.

I tried to remove it manually. So I restarted my computer in safe mode. Sweet I can now get around my computer because the virus does not load in safe mode. It was added to my startup programs. Long story short I found the virus and removed it but it messed up my internet connection. I didn't want to spend all day trying to fix it so I just did a format re-install.

This wasted at least 1.5 hours of my workday and I was pissed. That is the reason I am writing this blog to warn others about this issue.

Do not under any circumstances trust these slimy bastards at "www.tvshack.net"
